We believe that every young parent deserves a voice. Our projects offer you the opportunity to access different types of support and to get involved in the work of the teenage pregnancy partnership.
Some of our projects include...
The Baby Box Project
We're piloting a project to give expectant mums a box at 24 weeks of pregnancy with lots of support information within it.

Moses Basket Madness!
To go hand-in-hand with our Baby Box project, we've been upcycling Moses Baskets, so the new mattresses that young mums-to-be receive will be put to good use!

We tested loads of baby products to share with other young parents which we think are worth spending on and which aren't! Click here for more details.
Supporting Young Parents in Leicestershire
We have recently created a support directory to be given by a range of workers to pregnant teenagers, dads-to-be and mums and dads under the age of 20. If you'd like to see a copy, click here.
Breastfeeding on the Go
The take up of breast feeding in young parents is quite low. We did some peer research to talk to other young parents about their feeding choices and what had influenced them. We then worked on the Breastfeeding on the Go booklet - click here for a copy - to help people to make an informed decision.
dear me, letters to my pregnant self
The idea of becoming a young mum or dad can be scary. It is likely that as a pregnant teenager and as a young parent you will experience challenging situations and face discrimination in one form or another. But life doesn't end when you become a young parent and neither do your hopes and dreams.
With this project, we hope to provide inspiration to pregnant teenagers and young parents, to offer them hope and reassurance that there are many opportunities for them.
The gift of hindsight would be an incredible thing! Through this project participants had the opportunity to share some of the lessons they have learned with young people who are in a similar situation now.
40 letters were received and have been compiled into a moving and powerful book, which is distributed to those young people we are supporting.
The book is now available to buy from Amazon! Please click here to access it.
the good, the bad, the unforgettable
the good, the bad, the unforgettable is a compilation of letters, thoughts and memories from people who are, or were young parents. It is intended to help and offer other young parents and their families reassurance, hope and the realisation that they are not alone. The book was created in partnership with the Leicestershire County Young Parents forum, who did an amazing job of collecting contributions, creating the book and taking part in the book launch.
